Dr. Shawn Medes  

Specialist General Practitioner

Dr Medes is the principal GP & founder of Tanilba Bay Medical Centre. He has had extensive surgical & Emergency experience through Australian Hospital System. He has completed & awarded many qualifications & courses in relation to Skin Diseases, Skin Cancer diagnosis, Skin Cancer Surgery, Cosmetic Medicine & Surgery, Plastic & reconstructive Surgery through Australasian College of Skin Cancer, Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery, Australian College of Rural & remote Medicine & University of Sydney.Dr Medes is currently a GP Supervisor for both Australian GP Colleges of RACGP & ACRRM

Dr Shaimaa El Gayar 

Dr. Shaimaa El Gayar is a specialist family physician who is highly experienced medical professional with a diverse and international career spanning nearly two decades. Since earning her medical degree in 2004, she has practiced medicine across multiple countries, including Australia, where she has become a trusted and respected figure in healthcare.

Dr. Shaimaa’s medical practice is grounded in a holistic approach, and she has a broad interest in general practice and family medicine. She holds a special interest in: Aesthetic medicine, Mental Health, Women’s Health, Medicinal Cannabis.

Dr. Shaimaa combines clinical excellence with a compassionate, holistic approach to medicine, ensuring that each patient’s health and well-being are at the heart of her practice.

Dr. Shahriar Amjadi

General Practitioner

Dr Shahriar Amjadi is interested in all aspects of General Practice. He specialises in Opthamology (Eye Care). Dr Shahriar is committed to providing top quality Health care to all patients. He does routine weekly visits at our local Nursing home.

Dr. Timothy David

Dr Timothy David has been described as an extremely caring and thorough GP. He is interested in all areas of General Practice and is devoted to providing the best care possible to all of his patients.

Dr. Viktorija Anusaitiene

Dr Anusaitienes special interests are in the health of women, young adults, adolescents and children as well as Indigenous health, She has extensive experience in managing complex chronic disease patients and a keen interest in Skin care.

Dr Anusaitiene has successfully completed the requirements for accreditation with Family Planning Alliance Australia and obtained the FPAA National Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health and holds a Diploma in Child Health.

Dr. Marat Abdulaev

Dr Marat Abdulaev graduated from Medical University in Russia in 1999. He developed his professional career in the field of Vascular and Cardiac surgery.

He has been working in Australia since 2015. He has completed 6 years of additional surgical training in Australia. Then he worked in the Emergency Department and finally decided to dedicate his further professional career to General practice.

Dr Marat Abdulaev practices patient-centred care, whole person approach, he has a specialist interest in the following areas: Management of chronic disease, Mental health, Men’s health, Women’s health, Contraceptive Implant insertion/removal, Varicose veins, Skin check, Management of skin cancer.

Dr Zahraa Alsaaty

General Practitioner

Dr Zahraa, has recently joined our team. She is originally from Iraq and has a wealth of knowledge and experience practising as a doctor. She has a special interest in Gaeriatric Medicine and aims to promote health by educating, and preventing diseases in the community.

Melody Seymour

Podiatrist

Melody is once passionate podiatrist that likes all aspects of Podiatric care and enjoys seeing a diverse range of people and conditions. Plus she strives to keep up to date with all the latest knowledge and techniques available to provide to patients at Hawks Nest Podiatry. She has full  registration and for number of years she  has been practicing in the Newcastle, Port Stephens and Myall Lakes regions. 

Melody comes from a close knit family and believes in community spirit. Enjoying the lifestyle of the area. She loves spending her free time camping and adventuring. 

 

Sally Tye

Registered Nurse

Sally brings a warm and welcoming atmosphere into our busy practice. Sally holds an abundance of knowledge that she has learnt over the past 23 years as a Nurse and dedicated her time to caring for her community, she has attended to the most vulnerable whilst she was the Nurse Manager for the Westmead NICU. 

Sally spends her free time with her Grandchildren and Gardening and as an admirer of the great outdoors she also enjoys sailing and free camping.

Thelma Movick

EEN

Thelma has over 30 years’ experience as an enrolled nurse, she has spent a great a deal of her time working in Rehabilitation and community nursing and specialising in disability and aged care. Working predominantly in NSW however she has also branched all the way out to Norway! 
Thelma enjoys the outdoors, bushwalking and photography. She spends her free time with the ones that matter most, her family, friends and dogs.

 

Rowena Hanney

Practice Manager

Row brings a wealth of knowledge to our practice from 19 years working with NSW Health over various sites. She is passionate about providing top grade care to the community and ensuring a happy health workplace for all.

When Row isn’t busy managing our practice she is a dedicated mother of 4 and enjoys the outdoors especially fishing with her children and hubby and always looks forward to their next adventures.

Jessica

Receptionist

Jessica is our front desk Receptionist. Jessica is a qualified AIN, spending quite a few years previously working in an Aged Care Facility. She is also currently completing a Cert 4 in Health Administration. Jessica is empathetic and has a great understanding of providing care and compassion to our patients.

In her spare time you will find her competing on the netball court or spending quality time with her partner or friends.
